Our red this year is made etirely out of shiraz. The vineyard is called ‘top range’ and is situated at the top of a north west facing valley and the southern end of the Adelaide Hills. The soils here are fairly common ridge top soils for this area with some iron stone and quartz deposits in loamy clay with a sandstone bedrock.

We de-stemmed about half of the fruit and then fermented the rest as whole bunches all in stainless steel. The wine was blended at the end of August and bottled early September.

Medium bodied with fresh crisp acid and powdery tannin. Glou!
